Rüdesheim-am-Rhein
The heart of the Rheingau region, it is one of the most visited towns in Germany. The quaint Drosselgasse, just six feet wide is always bustling and lively. The cable car ride to the Niederwald Monument is a real delight and you can take a journey on the Winzerexpress – the miniature train which winds through the vineyards on sightseeing tours. There are also boat trips and Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Museum in the historic Bromserhof which houses one of the largest collections of self playing musical instruments.
